Kansas Country Living — More than Just a ‘Pretty Face’

March marks the “meat” of the electric cooperative annual meeting season here in Kansas. Between March and April, a majority of our member electric cooperatives hold their annual meeting. (See schedule to the right. Brown-Atchison and Nemaha-Marshall completed their annual meetings in February.)

You, a consumer and a member of your electric cooperative, have or will receive information about your co-op’s annual meeting within the pages of this magazine. Whether publishing the legal notice of the date, time and place of the meeting, your co-op’s annual report or even trustee ballots, this magazine serves as a cost-effective way for your co-op to communicate important business with you.

In between the pages of energy saving ideas, timely electrical safety tips, engaging features and appetizing recipes, your co-op shares information vital to your ownership in the co-op. Each co-op handles their annual meeting elections and communications a bit differently but you can stay informed through your co-op’s local pages beginning on Page 12A in every issue.

Schedules are busy — all of us are pulled in various directions to meet family and work obligations. Please consider making time to engage in the business of your electric cooperative.
