    Get Snappin’ Shutterbugs

It’s time again for Kansas shutterbugs to show the beauty of their home state captured through the eye of a lens.

For more than a decade, amateur and professional photographers have helped The University of Kansas Medical Center’s Rural Health Education and Services (RHES) showcase the beauty of Kansas. The photos not only help Kansans rediscover the beauty in our own backyards but also help promote the rich history and allure of the Sunflower State to future health care providers.

Kansas Country Living magazine is excited to partner with RHES for the fourth year in a row in sponsoring the $100 grand-prize-winning photograph to be featured on the cover of the January 2022 issue. The magazine’s editorial team looks forward to reviewing this year’s entries.

To enter the contest, please visit www.kumc.edu/community-engagement/rural-health/rural-kansas-photography-contest.html for complete rules and deadlines. Entries can be uploaded starting Wednesday, Sept.1, 2021. Deadline for submitting entries is 11:59 p.m. CST on Monday, Oct. 18, 2021. All entries must be submitted to RHES; please do not submit entries to the Kansas Country Living staff.

The Kansas Country Living editorial team will choose from all of the entries a $100 grand-prize-winning photograph that will be featured on the January 2022 cover of the magazine. All entered images will be considered for this award.
