Employees of Pioneer Electric, on behalf of CoBank, presented the Grant County Community Foundation with a check for $5,000 on Nov. 1. The funds will be a donation to five local organizations as part of Grant County Gives week and provided through CoBank’s Sharing Success Program. Organizations receiving funds are: Furever Friends of Grant County, the Ulysses Animal Shelter, Women of Purpose, Loaves & Fishes and the Grant County Historical Foundation.
“Pioneer Electric is proud to partner with the Grant County Community Foundation,” said Anita Wendt, vice president of energy services for Pioneer. “Ensuring that the communities we serve are able to prosper and grow is equally as important as providing them with power.”
In addition to the $1,000 provided by Pioneer Electric and CoBank’s donation, each organization will receive additional matching funds from the Grant County Community Foundation.
