Pioneer Electric’s mission is to power those we serve beyond their homes. Our members are our friends and family, and our children attend the schools and programs throughout our service territory. Pioneer Electric is honored to be part of many of those endeavors by powering them with funds from our Helping Us Give To Society (H.U.G.S.) program.

Pioneer Electric’s H.U.G.S. initiative is funded through the recycling of materials (steel, aluminum or cooper) taken out of service during the repair or rebuilding of our infrastructure (power lines, power poles, etc.). Over time, the funds generated can be considerable, giving us the opportunity to partner with community-focused projects in our service territory.
“When it comes to the type of projects we’re able to assist with through H.U.G.S., the sky is the limit,” said Anita Wendt, vice president of Energy Services at Pioneer Electric and H.U.G.S. team member. “We love being able to help
with projects that fill a need in our communities and power them at their core.”
