
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
Real pumpkin puree and a blend of those famous fall spices will have this creamy latte turning your home into a coffeehouse. Customize with dairy or nut milk, or swap out the caffeine or decaf coffee for a mellower version.
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk nut milk, such as almond, can also be used
- 4 Tbsp. pure pumpkin puree
- 2 Tbsp. sugar or sweetener equivalent
- 1/2 tsp. pumpkin pie spice plus more for sprinkling
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot espresso or strong coffee
- Sweetened whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- Combine milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice and vanilla extract in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and poke a small hole in the top to vent. Heat in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, until the milk is hot. Whisk the milk mixture vigorously until foamy, about 30 seconds.
- Divide the hot coffee or espresso in two mugs and add the foamed milk mixture. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkling of pumpkin spice
Notes
In case of a heat spell, this drink is also great over ice!
