TCEC: Youth Trips Return Summer 2022

Applications open now for all-expense-paid trips

Summer 2022 may seem like a long time away as fall fades and winter approaches, but finding and selecting stellar delegates for youth trips takes time. We encourage all eligible students to apply for the summer youth trips from TCEC. Apply online at www.tcec.coop/youth.

All told, the cooperative will select 11 delegates for its youth trips.

    • Four eighth-graders will go to Energy Camp in Hinton, Oklahoma.
    • Three high school juniors will go to Washington, D.C., as part of the Electric Cooperative Youth Tour.
    • Two high school juniors will go to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for the Cooperative Youth Leadership Camp.
    • Two high school seniors will be selected to attend the Youth Leadership Summit in Oklahoma City and will receive a $500 scholarship, too.

The safety of our students and chaperones is our top priority. If trip coordinators feel that travel is unsafe, we will cancel the trips. In this case, we may ask delegates to participate in an alternate activity for an award.

If you know someone of the right age who attends school in the TCEC service territory, be sure to tell them about this extraordinary opportunity. Students will make friends that last a lifetime while learning new leadership skills.

TCEC pays for transportation, lodging, meals, and other incidental costs incurred with all trips. Students are responsible for souvenirs and extra personal items they may need.

Virtual tours of the trips and application details are online at www.tcec.coop/youth. Summer will be here before you know it. Don’t delay; enter today!
