    I Dreamed I was Free

    Join us as New York actor, Rich Swingle, presents a one-man play entitled, “I Dreamed I Was Free.” This play is Rich’s critically acclaimed one-person, two-act play about John Woolman, who spoke out against slavery over a century before the Civil War. The play has received positive reviews from newspapers and magazines around the world. There will be a Q&A session following the performance.

    Rich Swingle has performed in 43 states, 39 nations on six continents, mostly with a dozen one-man plays he’s written or developed. “I Dreamed I Was Free” has been performed at the John Woolman Forum at George Fox University, The Lamb’s Little Theatre in New York City, and the Nordic Black Theatre in Oslo, Norway. Excerpts have been performed at the John Woolman House in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, twice. Rich has performed in about 45 films (www.IMDb.me/RichSwingle) including three that have had theatrical releases: Beyond the Mask, Alone Yet Not Alone and Providence. Rich has received several awards, including People’s Choice: Actor of the Year at the International Christian Music and Film Festival, 2021.
