    Salad Dressing for Leaf Lettuce

    Ingredients
      

    • 1 cup salad oil mild vegetable or olive oil
    • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
    • 1 Tbs. water
    • 1 tsp. garlic salt
    • 1 tsp. coarse ground pepper
    • 1 tsp. dry mustard
    • 1/4 tsp. sugar you can add a little more if you like it sweeter
    • 1 tsp. dried summer savory may substitute dried thyme or a mix of thyme and oregano
    • Salad greens such as iceberg lettuce red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, romaine, endive and escarole

    Instructions
     

    • Put oil, vinegar, water and seasonings in a quart jar.
    • Shake well for 30 seconds.
    • Pour over tender salad greens and toss lightly.
