
Salad Dressing for Leaf Lettuce

Ingredients
- 1 cup salad oil mild vegetable or olive oil
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 Tbs. water
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 tsp. coarse ground pepper
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. sugar you can add a little more if you like it sweeter
- 1 tsp. dried summer savory may substitute dried thyme or a mix of thyme and oregano
- Salad greens such as iceberg lettuce red leaf lettuce, green leaf lettuce, romaine, endive and escarole
Instructions
- Put oil, vinegar, water and seasonings in a quart jar.
- Shake well for 30 seconds.
- Pour over tender salad greens and toss lightly.
